Spinners Garden and Nursery can be found in the attractive valley village of Boldre, about three miles to the south of Brockenhurst.
The gardens here are comparatively young, especially when compared with some of the great gardens surrounding the stately homes located in the Hampshire countryside, but set along a slope overlooking the River Lymington valley, they are equally impressive with many acres covered by magnificent Rhododendrons and Azaleas.
Magnolias, Camellias, Japanese Maples, Hydrangeas and delightful woodland form focal points together with interesting wild shrubs, delicate wild flowers and rare ground cover plants. Adjoining the gardens is a nursery of international acclaim, this is considered by many to be the finest of its kind in the country with an extended variety of rare, unusual and hardy plants.
This spectacular garden was the brainchild of the owners who lovingly created it between 1961 and 1981. Mr. and Mrs. P.G.G. Chappell, designed and developed the garden between them giving much thought to year round colour, they achieved a beautiful garden which is a joy for everyone who visits.
